Hi, I’m Sharon Skinner

I’m an author, freelance editor, and certified book coach.

My goal is to support writers in their creative journeys, help them improve their craft, and tell powerful stories that resonate with readers.

 I serve Speculative Fiction writers who want to write stories that resonate with readers on an emotional level, who are seeking clarity and want to level up both their stories and their craft game. I am especially drawn to writers whose work deals with difficult subjects in a unique way and that offers resistant text for those who feel alone and who fight against the oppression of conformity.

I’m an active member of SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) and the Regional Advisor for SCBWI AZ, and I served as an Arizona State Library Writer in Residence for Scottsdale Library (2017), Mesa Library (2018), Tempe Library (2019), and Chandler Library (2023).
